Lower-Left — the shared interior
Culture lives here. The shared meaning, the inside jokes, the unspoken agreements about what gets noticed and what gets ignored. It is invisible to outsiders and inescapable to anyone inside.
Leaders shape it whether or not they intend to. The only choice is to do it consciously.
Lower-Right — the shared exterior
Systems live here. Org charts, processes, comp plans, the way the office is laid out, the slack channels that exist and the ones that don't. The shared exterior incentivizes the shared interior. Change one without the other and the change does not stick.
Culture is a quadrant. Systems are a quadrant. Both deserve a seat.
