The upper-left quadrant is your interior — felt sense, mood, intention, the texture of thought as it actually moves. No survey can read it. No KPI can render it. You are the only sensor.
Most organizations spend zero dollars and zero meetings here, and then are surprised when their people quietly leave.
How to honor it
Honoring the UL is structural, not sentimental. It means there is time on the calendar where it is legal to not be doing anything. It means at least one practice — journal, sit, walk — is treated as work, because it is.
