Why you are many

A leader is rarely a single voice. There is the part that wants to grow the company, the part that is exhausted, the part that resents the board, the part that loves the work, the part that wants out. All of them get a vote whether or not you give them one.

IFS asks: which parts are at the table, and which part is at the head of the table? Coherence is not silencing the council; it is convening it.

A ten-minute practice

Sit. Ask: which parts of me have an opinion about this decision? Write each one down. Ask each one what it wants. Notice that several of them want the same thing in different language. Decide from the part that has heard all of them.
